The plate is lovely and looks quite old. It has an appearance of moderate crazing, several hairline cracks through the full plate, and an edge chip. However, unlike usual crazing, the crazing do not extend to the surface or take in liquids. The cracks do extend through the surface of the glaze but do not appear particularly brittle. The plate has mild scratching only. Therefore, despite the condition, the plate appears safe for either kitchen use or decorative use.
