1910s Noritake/Nippon Art Deco Hand Painted 11-3/4 inch Yellow & Green Cake Platter uncommon find see condition notes

$200.00

Hand-painted antique art deco 11-3/4" cake platter from the 1910s (note - I am not an appraiser, but I do verify authenticity to the best of my ability)! Noritake used this green mark on early exports in the 1910s with an M in a wreath and "hand painted Nippon". Condition notes: the gold trim is almost entirely worn off, and there are some moderate scratches from use. There is a slight dent/upwarping on the platter with wear of the glaze in this area. Some discolored scuffs on the unglazed bottom. Looks good for art deco or shabby chic aesthetics. No cracks, chips, or crazing.

I'm a big fan of early Noritake -- it stands the test of time better than most brands, and the early hand-painted aesthetics often have a unique subtle early art deco type vibe with unique use of lines.
